🤝 Volunteer Partner
Note in the Pocket is a non-profit organization in Durham, NC that provides quality clothing to homeless and impoverished children and families with dignity and love, believing clothing insecurity hinders educational and social development. They operate through donations, volunteers, and community support, distributing clothing - thoughtfully prepared mini wardrobes, to known students and families in need in Durham and Wake counties. The organization accepts gently used clothing and shoes, and relies on volunteers to sort and deliver items, with local donations staying local to benefit Durham children and families. Unused donations are sent to a local recycler for re-purposing, and will provide funds for new socks and underwear, as well as laundry detergent sheets for families who may not have access to washers and dryers.
Volunteers will process clothing donations. Think quality checks, sorting by categories (mens, womens, boys, girls), folding & labeling, etc
